The concept artist comes up with what the characters and environment will look like in the game. Models of characters, locations, and objects are created based on what the concept artist draws.

This training is for you if:

You’re an aspiring artist or designer, want to move into gamedev and make money from your art.
You’re a 3D artist, want to increase your check and add character and expression to your models.
You love games and drawing, you want to make it your profession and make money from something you love.

The goal is to help you break into gamdev straight into a midle position and teach you everything a concept artist needs to work in the studio. You’ll master sketching, basic and advanced concept art, sharpen your drawing skills and gather a powerful portfolio of 25+ works.

For the most diligent, we’ll help you find a job right after – or even during – the training.

Training Plan:

Introduction to Sketching.
You will learn how to work with line and perspective, develop your volumetric thinking and learn how to make your 2D drawings volumetric. If you are a confident pen and tablet user, you can go straight to the main training.

Sketching
Sketching is the foundation for any artist. You can’t move forward until you’ve mastered working with perspective, composition, and lines. In the course, you’ll learn about perspective, and you’ll also learn how to work with cylinders and build composition.

Basic Concept Art.
You’ll learn the basics of concept art, master basic character anatomy, face and costume design. You’ll brush up on your traditional drawing skills. By the end of the course you’ll learn how to portray emotions, like anger or joy.

Advanced Concept Art.
You’ll learn to think like a concept artist. You’ll master visual storytelling, learn the algorithms of character creation in detail, and gather all the knowledge you’ve gained into one system.
